ABOUT
My goal is to experience the unfamiliar through creating visual media in an effort to gain perspective on what it means to be a human being. Trained in traditional photojournalism techniques, my work can be characterized by the capture of an authentic moment, free of wangled origins.
I spent the last three years of my undergraduate study as a part-time photographer for the Winona Daily News where I received recognition for my work in the Minnesota Newspaper Association's Better Newspaper Contest as well as in the Visual Minnesota (formerly the Minnesota News Photographer's Association) Student Contest in the General News and Sports categories.
My work in the Navajo Nation, as a team member of the 2015 Navajo Oral History Project, has been archived in the Navajo Nation Museum, Navajo Nation Library, Winona State University Library, Diné College Library, and the Smithsonian's National Museum of the American Indian.
